LAYING OF WREATHS IN `BUBANJ` MEMORIAL PARK

On the occasion of the liberation of Nis in WW2 wreaths were layed in Bubanj memorial park. The respect to the killed soldiers was given by the president of the City Assembly PhD Mile Ilic, president of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic, the head of Police Administration in Nis, Serbian army, members of Soldiers Union and organization of civil society. 

Palilula from Nis has many locations that are memorials and are symbolical for the victims of WW2 and our antifascist fight-emphasized Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality. Memorial Bubanj Park is the place where fascists shoot more thousands of people, that had been before that kept in concentration camp `Crveni Krst`. Palilula Municipality with its strategic programme of development and developmental projects, realizes the adaptation of the area of this Memorial Park. Only during the last two years over the programme Neighborhood cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia and IPA funds support of 200,000 Euros was provided for the adaptation of Memorial complex `Bubanj`.

The remembering of Nis liberation day in the WW2, in this moment, is very much significant. History teaches us again what sort of  mistakes we must not make in future and what is the price of the freedom we have today.
